Burning Down The Fox

In my last post reviewing the KCBS Cookbook I mentioned the Burning Down The Fox event as one of the largest KCBS sanctioned events in Wisconsin.  Today I received an e-mail with some additional information on the event:

HeY Q-Heads! It’s time for a Burning Down the Fox BBQ Update.

!!! Better get your Butts in gear…It’s less than a month until the 5th Annual “Burning Down The Fox” State Barbeque Championship, August 27th & 28th, 2010 in Princeton, Wisconsin.

What’s New? The Prize money has INCREASED to $7,500.00!!! That’s Smoke’n hot Ca$h.

Five categories again this year…including Dessert! Tickle that sweet tooth. Winner takes all!!! $7,500.00 in Prize money, trophies and ribbons through tenth place in each category. **PLEASE** Get your entries in soon…we are trying to accomodate everyone but space is getting tight. Please contact us if we can help.

BBQ Vendor NEEDED. We are looking for one additional BBQ vendor…think you got what it takes? Contact us for details.

What about the Bar-B-Que?!?!?!
Food (Yes, BBQ), Beverage & Beer Tent and activities for the entire family. We’re keeping the Prices Low and the Entertainment Value High.

10am :: Wild West Show “Boom Town” opens for visitors
9:30am :: BBQ Judges sign-in
10am :: Long drive & Chipping competition
10:30am :: BBQ Judges meeting
11am :: Giant Inflatables; Iron-Man obstackle course, Bounce House & Jousting competition.
11am :: Face painting
11am-3pm :: Live music with Cookie!
12pm-2pm :: Cooks Turn-In
3pm :: Awards Ceremony
4pm-6pm:: Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show
6pm :: Live Music with The Bar Flize
12am :: Grounds Close.
Sunday, August 29th – 2010
9am :: Wild West Show “Boom Town” opens for visitors
2pm :: Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show
