Kohler already hosts the premiere food event in Wisconsin every fall with the Kohler Food and Wine Experience. However this year they decided to add another event celebrating Wisconsin’s favorite beverage, beer. The First Annual Kohler Festival of Beer was held over Memorial Day Weekend.
The festival featured breweries and brewers from across Wisconsin and across the country. A large number of Wisconsin’s great craft brewers were in attendance as well as some of the greatest microbreweries in the US including Founder’s, Dogfish Head, Bell’s, Stone, and Lagunitas.
The event also featured a Grand Tasting Event, Homebrewers Competition, Eggs & Kegs Breakfast Buffet, Blackwolf Run Beer Cup Golf Tournament, and the festival closed with a Blues, Brews & Barbeque party.

The People’s Choice Award winners were as follows:
First place – Blucreek Brewing / Wild Blueberry Ale
Second place – Buffalo Water Beer Company / Bison Blonde Lager
Third place – Unibroue / Don de Dieu
I didn’t attend this year but definitely am making plans to go next year.
