Football & Beer Mini-Camp at Sprecher Brewery

Sprecher Brewing will be offering a pre-season mini-camp called “Football and Sprecher Beer: Share the Passion.” The program is geared towards women, but anyone can attend. This mini-camp will help you have more enjoyable game days throughout the upcoming season. Designed to shatter myths and increase appreciation for football, beer and tailgate food, the Sprecher mini-camp dishes up basic knowledge along with unique insights so you’ll be able to talk a good game about the essentials of football and beer.

Each session is designed to build upon the knowledge shared in the previous session. You can register for individual sessions ($20 each) or the entire mini-camp ($75). Five percent (5%) discount for pre-registration through July 16th. Pre-Registration at: www.sprecherbrewery.com beginning July 3rd.

For the July 17, 2008 inaugural mini-camp session, Homestead High School Football Coach Dave Keel and Lucy Saunders, author of three cookbooks about craft beer cuisine will impart their knowledge of football and beer.  This first session will introduce people to the basics of football, craft beer, and cooking with beer,” said Anne Sprecher, who coordinated the mini-camp. “The session begins with an introduction to beer basics with specific emphasis on craft beer. Coach Keel will provide a passionate and informative overview of football. Lucy will re-create some of the recipes from her book, Grilling with Beer, and demonstrate how to pair foods with craft beer. There will be time for tastings and questions throughout because we want people to leave feeling they’ve learned something they’ll use later on.”
