Tomorrow the Journal’s new food critic, Carol Deptolla , will introduce herself.

She has been writing food columns for the Journal but I don’t think she has ever been a restaurant critic…and that may be a good thing.

  1. I have no idea if she’ll be good or not….but the whole process of launching a “national” search over many months just to end up hiring someone that was here already seems odd. If she was that qualified why didn’t she just get the job in the first place? I look forward to actually reading reviews in the JS instead of the crummy food related articles they have been filling in with. Good luck Carol!
