I am not a big conspiracy theorist but I noticed something interesting in the Journal’s coverage of Adam Siegel’s nomination for a James Beard award. Its the photograph of one of his foie gras presentations (and it looks delicious) and the discussion of foie gras in the interview with Adam. I may just be a cynical reader but I think the Journal is trying to stir up some foie gras controversy. I am willing to bet that within a week there will be a letter to the editor chastising the Journal for promoting foie gras and it may even blow up into a mini controversy with an editorial on the evils of foie gras forthcoming. Then again I could be completely wrong. I’ll keep you posted.
